N215 – DOZER
The N215 Dozer course at Essex Construction Training Ltd is designed for individuals who operate tracked or wheeled dozers within the construction, civil engineering, and earthmoving industries. This course meets NPORS industry standards and provides candidates with the skills and knowledge required to operate a dozer safely, efficiently, and competently on site.
Course Options Available
Novice Course – 6 Days Training + Test
Suitable for candidates with little or no previous dozer operating experience. This comprehensive novice programme includes practical and theoretical training followed by the accredited NPORS assessment. The course covers:
- Dozer components, controls, and pre-use checks
- Safe operation and manoeuvring techniques
- Ground conditions, stability, and working on slopes
- Blade use, grading, and material movement
- Health & safety legislation and site hazards
- Shut-down and securing procedures
Experienced Worker Course – 1 Day Training + Test
Designed for experienced dozer operators who require formal certification. Course duration is reduced based on experience and includes refresher training followed by the NPORS assessment.
Test Only Option – No Training
For highly experienced operators who already meet NPORS requirements. This option provides assessment only, with no training included. Candidates must be confident in their operational knowledge and practical ability.
